100% Islay - The 12th Edition; 12500 bottles from 29 Bourbon Barrels & 6 Oloroso Sherry Butts

Wanneer deze vaten werden aangeschaft is er geen specifieke informatie gegeven over de distilleerderij van oorsprong, wel is er bekend dat ze van Islay vandaan komen. Wanneer u een slok neemt van deze dram dan merkt u dat het niet de typisch medicinale Islay is.

De eerste van de aangekondigde jubileumbottelingen is een 13-jarige gelimiteerde release, die over een paar dagen uitkomt. Het is een vatting van 70% bourbonvaten / 20% bourbon octave vaten en 10% calvadosvaten.

Laphroaig Lore is a 2016 addition to the distillery's range. Made up of whiskies aged in a combination of quarter casks, sherry casks and reused peated casks. This is rich and classically peaty with a spicy chili bite and a long, sweet aftertaste.

Like Edition 14.1, Octomore 14.2 is peated to 128.9 PPM. It was also made with 100% Scottish mainland grown Concerto barley and aged entirely on Islay for 5 years. Distilled in 2017 from the 2016 barley harvest.
