Grappa obtained from dregs of pressed grapes ( grape remain) of Nebbiolo located in Barolo Zone ( precisely in Barolo, Serralunga, Monforte, La Morra communes), well known as “king of wine”.

Deze speciale Grappa Riserva, al geruime tijd gerijpt, in eikenhout werd vervolgens enkele maanden lang in vaten rusten, al eerder gebruikt om de "Rum" te rijpen van enkele van de meest prestigieuze Cubaanse distilleerderijen.

This grappa is created from the marc left by Chardonnay grapes grown in the Langhe and Roero zones. Ageing takes place in stainless steel vats.

Nebbiolo Grappa Riserve had already matured in wooden casks for some years and then it was refined in Spanish barrels for some months. These barrels had been previously used to mature a “Sherry” of one of the most prestigious wineries.

This special Reserve Grappa had already matured in oak casks for a long period but was furtherly refined in American (Tennessee) barrels for some months. These barrels had been previously used to mature a “Tennessee Whiskey” of one of the most prestigious distilleries.

Nebbiolo Grappa Riserve had already matured in wooden casks for some years and then it was refined in Portoguese barrels for about 24 months. These barrels had been previously used to mature a “vintage Porto” of one of the most prestigious wineries.

Lagavulin viert dit jaar zijn 200-jarig bestaan en brengt daarvoor deze Limited Edition uit. Toen Alfred Barnard in 1885 de distilleerderij bezocht, proefde hij een whisky die hij als "exceptionally fine" beoordeelde.
