The Scarlet Blossoms of Black Rock. Zoals onze fabel gaat, groeide op een heuvel van zwartgeblakerde rots een mysterieuze boom met scharlakenrode bloesems van onweerstaanbare charme. Hun zoete geur van honingraat en kruiden was zo aanlokkelijk dat het de donkere heuvel veranderde in weelderige overvloed.

De 12e batch uit de Glendronachs Cask Strength-serie, de heerlijke Highland Scotch-whisky, gerijpt in oloroso- en Pedro Ximénez-sherryvaten, gebotteld op een pittige 58,2% ABV. Een paar druppels water zouden dit mooi moeten openen en al het rijke fruit en de nootachtige sherrygoedheid onthullen.

De GlenAllachie 16 years 2006 Single Cask is speciaal door whiskylegende Billy Walker geselecteerd voor de Nederlandse markt. Na de distillatie in 2006 vond een 16 jaar durende rijping in één Oloroso Sherry puncheon plaats, waaruit 699 flessen op vatsterkte (58,7% alcohol) zijn afgevuld.

De allereerste “very small batch” botteling is de Ballindalloch “Vintage Release 2015”, die special gebotteld is voor de Benelux. De in totaal 1.193 flessen zijn afkomstig uit een combinatie van 3 bourbon barrels en 1 sherry butt.
