Sweet fruit scents with sultanas, dates, strawberry compote and overripe apricots.dark chocolate with nuts and light notes of coffee with milk. The flavors are warming and creamy with dark cherries, more chocolate, Seville marmalade and coffee.

Mortlach Distillery is opgericht in1823 door ene Mr. Cowie en was de eerste distillery die werd gebouwd bij het plaatsje Dufftown. De naam Mortlach komt uit het Keltisch en betekend zoveel als “Schaalvormige vallei” De tweede Distillery die daar gebouwd werd was Glenfiddich door William Grant die manager was bij Mortlach.

Deze Distillery Select No2 is het resultaat van het rijpen op, grootendeels, ex-bourbon vaten waarin al eerder Kavalan Whisky heeft gezeten.  De Kavalan Distillery Select reeks is op de markt gebracht om een entry-level Kavalan whisky te creëren.

Onze Master Blender selecteert persoonlijk de vaten uit de "reserve cellar", die het best de traditionele Victoriaanse waarde weerspiegelen. Elk vat wordt gekozen om zijn unieke karakter en uitzonderlijke rijpheid.

De vintage Midleton Very Rare blended Irish whisky uit 2022 is een vakkundig vervaardigde combinatie van met de hand geselecteerde single pot still en single grain Ierse whisky's die tussen de 12 en 33 jaar hebben gerijpt in licht verkoolde ex-bourbonvaten.

The third batch of Benromach's Cask Strength Vintage 2012 single malt was matured in a combination of bourbon and first-fill sherry casks until it was bottled in 2022. The palate brings notes of rich spices, stewed fruit, Seville orange zest, toasted oak and whispers of smoke that linger in the finish.

A second Bruichladdich 18yo following the successful first edition, which was finished in Willi Opitz Trockenbeerenauslese casks (that's Austrian pudding wine to you and me). This time the 'Ace-ing' (sigh) has been done with a different sweet wine: Clos Urolat from Jurancon in Southwest France.

11-05-2023  23/96 The hugely popular Springbank 18 year old. The first edition of this was extremely popular, with more than a hint of sherry among the Springbank brine and smoke, and this version has already been named as Best Campbeltown Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2014.
