This 18 year old from Glenfiddich's core range was matured in a mix of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks.

Nomad Outland Whisky is een mooie amberkleurige blend van maar liefst 30 verschillende whiskydistillaten uit Speyside in Schotland. De gebruikte distillaten zijn gemiddeld tussen de 5 en 8 jaar oud. Na het blenden van de whisky gaan ze naar Jerez waar de whisky minimaal 1 jaar verder mag rijpen op oude Pedro Ximenez houten vaten waardoor het zijn unieke smaak ontwikkeld.

Glenfiddich Project XX is een nieuw experiment van Glenfiddich. Men heeft 20 whisky experten (uit de whisky industrie) betrokken om deze malt te componeren. Iedereen kreeg in de Warehouse van Glenfiddich verschillende whisky's te proeven gaande van port pipes, American oak, and bourbon vat rijpingen.

Royal Lochnagar is een van de kleinste distilleerderijen in de Classic Malts en is maarliefst drie keer herbouwd. Toch heeft het, met zijn twee kilnschoorstenen in de vorm van een pagode, nog altijd dezelfde traditionele uitstraling en dezelfde technieken (waaronder een open mashkuip).

The Spring Stallion. Zoals onze fabel gaat, waren de landen van de Royal Deeside bedekt met een dikke en ijzingwekkende mist totdat een trotse hengst, wit als sneeuw, door de ijzige sluier scheurde.

De betekenis van de double cask matured houdt in dat een deel van de whisky rijpt op traditionele vaten, het andere deel op ex-sherry butts. De traditionele vaten, ook wel ‘refill casks’ genoemd, dragen bij aan de ontwikkeling van de subtiele aroma’s in de whisky.

The Dalmore distilleerderij ligt ten westen van de plaats Alness aan de monding van de Averon of Alness. De naam is afkomstig uit het Gaelic en betekent "the big meadowland" vertaald is dat "de grote weide".

It takes time and much of David Stewart’s infinite skill and patience to hand-pick the barrels that create a new and distinctive batch of Tun 1401. And by marrying 12 of the rarest and most precious sherry butts and American Oak casks to produce a whisky characterised by citrus fruits as well as the familiar hints of vanilla and honey, Batch 8 is no exception – especially when some of the butts and casks have been maturing since David Stewart’s early days at the distillery.

A second Bruichladdich 18yo following the successful first edition, which was finished in Willi Opitz Trockenbeerenauslese casks (that's Austrian pudding wine to you and me). This time the 'Ace-ing' (sigh) has been done with a different sweet wine: Clos Urolat from Jurancon in Southwest France.

Octomore 14.3 is peated to 214.2 PPM. It is made with 100% Islay grown Concerto barley from Village and Lorgba fields on Octomore Farm and aged entirely on Islay for 5 years. Distilled in 2017 from the 2016 barley harvest.

Although the original Jura distillery was founded in the early 1800s, the rebuilt distillery we have now is a classic 1960s distillery, one of many that emerged in that boom period.  A light smoky nature can be found in this whisky, accompanied by tastes like applewood and vanilla.
